Yes, there's not much in terms of 'ethnic' sounds in this collection. This was a concious decision. The aim for this bank was to have a solid set of purely 'electronic' patches. However, just to balance this, I decided on a small 'acoustic' category, which is not representative of what Tassman is really capable of 'acoustically'.

I suppose some of the 'Acoustic' guitar sounds could make a nice 'downtempo' tune.

Many thanks ! Sorry for the wait again. I did experiment with the import process on two different partitions on my PC.
One had Tassman installed from the beginning and all the instrumenst and previous performances. Here, the import took less than ten minutes.
Then, I did a fresh install on another partition (one I never use for music) and here it took 30 minutes ! My heart sunk....

BTW. I didn't realise that you use Tassman ! :D You've kept quite about this all this time. :D

well..I have it, but actually have not done any patches or my own 'synths' with it yet, as I am still learning it. I did not think about creating presets for the already included 'synths', so a good move there. However, at the same time, I got Vaz3, and really love that, and users can download my 'top 40' bank( as Martin calls it).

I think it took about 10 to 20 minutes for my import to complete..but as you say..just take a tea, or coffee break while it's doing it's thing.

I respect you decision on your focus for this bank. I was just suggesting sometime you could do an ethnics bank, as you seem to know PM very well and could probaby make a great bank.

Keep up your great work. now..back to playing the sounds! :-)

Wow. This is a tremendous soundbank for a great price. A perfect nudge for me, reminding me to use Tassman a bit more often. It's a great synth.

This is awesome - even better than my high expectations. A perfect complement to the Harm Visser bank which is more focussed on acoustic and ethnic stuff (at a much better price).

I love ethnic stuff...and did contemplate a bank of acoustic-ethnic presets. I'm just slightly affraid of releasing one. It's a whole new ball game doing 'real' emulations. Harm Visser has already done an amazing job with his synth collection - so much to offer there.

But it's definitely a future project.

My MiniLotus and Christophe's Himalaya synths have some nice plucks and such...but Tassman is capable of so much more. It's definitely an area not fully investigated, ie: more hybrid, low CPU, PM synths with good presets.

I bought this a couple of days ago out of curiosity and just started playing with it. Wow! I'm so impressed.

My expectations were not high as I don't make electronic music. But I just can't stop playing with those presets... I'm sure I'm going to put some of them to good use. This is really an amazing deal, even if I end-up using only a few of them.

Confirmed working on a Mac Pro (Intel), Logic 8, Tassman 4.1.1, OS X 10.4.10.

I encourage you, and all Tassman owners, to buy this now! An inspirational sound bank - at a great price - that makes Tassman sound like you've never heard it before. Highly recommended (but put a couple of hours aside, because you'll need them once you get it.)
