Just an FYI on win xp64 The REX .dll file goes into WINDOWS\SysWOW64
but C4.1 Studio already has it there, otherwise so far so good.

Brilliant, thanks. The SDK docs mention nothing specific about xp64. Good to have a win64 user on the beta team.

An old BR which is back again:

[LiveSlice v145rc3]

BR1/ Changing banks, selects another arrangement
1- Load LS
2- Select arrangement C1
3- Load a loop and lock to loop
4- LMB on LS's "Play" button
5- Start the host's sequencer
6- Select another bank (I.E. bank 2)
C1 arrangement stops to play and C2 gets selected

id didn't found any theme about LiveSlice and Reaper. I worked with LiveSlice on a friends DAW and we worked with Repaer. There are a few problems with LiveSlice and Reaper. I didn't start with Reaper and i was wondering if there are any others that know how to handle LiveSlice and Reaper...

Sorry if this is a silly question, but... where can I download the beta version? I can't find a link anywhere, and I'm having problems with funny time signature loops in LiveSlice, so am very interested to try the new 'denominator' thing as soon as possible.

not to all users, only those on the beta list. It's a beta - ie. not 100% stable so I do prefer not to involve all users. I know it's hard to wait but it's getting closer to a release...

now as i decided to start working all the time with Live Slice the biggest problem with reaper is the play button. Reaper and LiveSlice doesnt start together. When you start Reaper LiveSlice starts or not. Sometimes you have to start it a few times and then it runs with Reaper. But when you stop Reaper. LiveSlice doesnt stop. I will let you know any other problems. I just worked a few hours with it on my DAW now.

A feature request would be a drag and drop function to add slices/Midi Data to the arrangement.

When you start Reaper LiveSlice starts or not. Sometimes you have to start it a few times and then it runs with Reaper. But when you stop Reaper. LiveSlice doesnt stop. I will let you know any other problems. I just worked a few hours with it on my DAW now.

Do you trigger LiveSlice with midi notes? That's how it's supposed to work. Another reminder that some tutorials are needed I guess... The play button is just for previewing while arranging. Each arrangement is assigned a midi note by default, so usually I just create a midi part pr. arrangement. this makes it very easy to work with when arranging. This way you can trigger multiple arrangements simultaniously too and create layers by simply creating additional midi tracks in the DAW and route them all to LiveSlice.

I'm working on drag'n'drop atm. I have to write native code for that because my toolkit only handles drops (can't create them). But it'll get there soon. The idea is to be able to export tracks as midi or audio so you can continue working on an arrangement in a piano roll / audio editor if that fits your workflow better.

there's a feature that will enable auto triggering with the host. in the settings page enable "trigger with host". I recommend the midi way however it's much more flexible. the "trigger with host" is intended as a workaround for hosts that have no midi sequencer.

btw what do you guys advice me considering my liveslice knowledge is VERY near to zero: using the old stable one or trying already to have fun slicing with the last beta?

Has anyone mentioned the strange behavior of the decay setting in the arranger? It seems once you change the decay setting on the slices, you can never get rid of the envelope even if you set it to 100% or 0%.

That does sound strange. I'll put you on the beta list so you get the next beta - then try it again. You are currently using the latest release version, not the beta.

Next beta will be out tomorrow btw.
