I never said that this would be about quality. For me it'd be about reaching more users, having the win-only stuff for other platforms and vice-versa.
Of course this could also turn out to be of opposite effect and we'll end up with just 4 or five plugins ;)
Like said, just thinking out loudly, FWIW.
Last year triple cheese ( http://www.u-he.com/TripleCheese/index.html ) won and it was bi-platform i realise that the term cross platform only apply to a software running on Windows , Mac and Linux nowadays ...
But we just need more developers to be involved in these kind of contests , maybe a higher donation will helps things up ...The donation this year was almost like last year , but with double more participants , the problem is that with all users at kvr we could have more donations but people are selfish and really not involved ..
People just like to leech that's all !

I really think that the prize money should be divided between 1st 2nd and 3rd next year, maybe 50%, 30%, 20% respectively...just a thought...

----It wasn't last year and this year ? Wow, I guess I just assumed it wasn't all or nothing. I 2nd that vote then, maybe even more people would enter if they thought they had 2 other chances at some winnings.

it will be easy for someone to win the Mac price it is kinda unfair ,unless they keep a overall ranking independent to platforms considerations ...
very low number for Mac (3) and Linux (1)...
I may be wrong but it won't motivate people to develop more free plugins for mac , the problem seems to be at the core , Mac users don't like to give their things away for free , a quick glance at the kvr database just proves it (or in the dontcrack.com database ), as i stated before it is also a demographic problem .For example the only Linux application will win tis year .Don't see what it will add to the contest apart from diminishing the pricemoney of the contest and thus the interest in it ..

Congratulations to all the winners and enterers of this year's Dev Challenge. It was good to see so many new face and names this year. Perimeter Sound would like to thank everyone who voted for RT, and a special thanks to our good friend Matias, Mr. Klanglabs himself, for his hard work and patience in helping make RT a reality. I am not sure how long K-v-R will host the DC entries, but when they are done, we will make RT available from our site (and Matias may choose to also), until then, if you missed it, please feel free to check it out. And again, thanks to everyone who vote for us, and congratulations to the top placing winners. :)
