Is DirectBass free only available in kontakt 2 format?

No .sfz or .nki, soundfonts???

thanks for the info

Post

Yes Kontakt2 .nkm only, because it uses main and release samples hence the multi format. Extreme Sample Converter will allow you to convert to .sfz,.nki or soundfonts. you can check it out here.

Lots of formats you can translate between depending on your sampler of choice.

I just read the whole thread from Pettinhouse, and someone did put a link for a .sfz file. Any one could make that file available again if it's ok with the person who did the patch?

I just don't have the time to do it myself these days...

thanks

:)

i did not kept that sfz file on my hd, so I've rebuilt it converting from exb format. I'm not sure that the names of the wavs are still correct, but you can try if it works:

sorry, i forgot to say that you need to convert all the files in the library from *.aif to *.wav, since sfz needs wav files. You could perform this operation with all major audio editing programs; i've used audacity, it's free and allow batch conversion. Then the sfz file must be in the same folder where *.wav files are.

also i've re-worked the sfz file, now it uses seq_position instead of lorand/hirand to achieve the round robin feature. here the link:

This is great, gvnz - Thank you!

The only comment I would have is that some of the releases sound a bit harsh - but this is quite easily tweaked in the .sfz file :)

Thanks!
