Years ago our most successful group buy on www.esoundz.com was the "Sonik Tank" bundle of Sonic Synth 1, SampleTank and our line of SampleTank sounds from Sonic Reality. Later on today we'll be officially announcing a special holiday Group Buy involving Sonik Synth 2.1, SampleTank 2.5 (engine only) and various SampleTank sounds to be included based on the number of people joining the group by the end of November when it will end. Even if you already have SampleTank or Sonik Synth it is a chance to spread the word around the net and get epointz referrals galore. All you need is to get 10 people and you can have a FREE $50 in credit to buy things on esoundz. Remember it's $5 in "epointz" per person for BOTH you AND that person (to use on their next purchase). I remember a LOT of people have earned the max epointz level in past group buys so this one has room for a lot of esoundz members to benefit (and don't forget we have a referral thread as well you can use).

We'll be posting in the marketplace thread in a bit with more details. I'll post a link to that thread here. Enjoy!

That Sonik Tank GB was the first time I bought anything from eSoundz. Hope this one is just as successful! Sonik Synth 2 is a great set.

Referrals to harmonygardens are much appreciated. :D

Let's make this Sonik Tank 2.5 GB even bigger! There's a lot of extras in this one... more info coming. There's also grand prize that I think some people will like. ;)

That was my first experience with Sampletank and SR/ESoundz too - but not my last. I've bought into several GB's since then, and bought the full Sampletank 2XL.

Depending on how the GB breaks out for SS2 (I am sure it will be lower than my current esoundz.com price), I may well be in ... :-)

Here it is: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... code=gbrss

This is the ultimate Sonic Reality SampleTank sound and software bundle. For less than the price of Sonik Synth 2 itself you get:

Sonik Synth 2.1 (software and sounds)
SampleTank 2.5 (software engine only - that can play SS2.1 sounds -AND- import AKAI, WAV, AIFF, SampleCell and read any SampleTank format sounds)
50 + 50 (100) bonus COMBI patches for BOTH SS2.1 and ST2.5 (referencing the SS2.1 sounds)
All 6 Sonic Reality Expansion Tanks (ST format sounds)
Plus the Sonic Reality ST2.5 Bonus disc that has some unreleased sounds (like a drum kit from Studiophonik) and loops, Miroslav sounds and cool Combi patches for ST2.5

The MSRP of all of that was originally over $900. In this group buy it starts at $299 and can go down as low as $199 for ALL of it!

Could be a good one! It all depends on you, where the group starts. I do think it's a great deal even at the highest price of the GB though so you can't lose. Remember your credit card isn't even charged until the end.

Good luck!

I am mostly looking for pads and atmospheric sounds. How well do those sound in this bundle?

The pads and atmospheric sounds in this bundle really are fantastic. Not only are the sounds in Sonik Synth 2 themselves ideal for this but the additional combi sounds are based on "atmospheric" type sounds using the thousands of Sonik Synth textures as layers. It's pretty powerful for this!

There is a big difference between Sonik Synth and the other so called 'Ambient Synths' out there.

Sonik Synth uses real vintage gears carefully sampled, and sounds really like the real thing.

When you stack them and add effects, you get a more professional and more authentic sound than using whatever you name it competitor.

This is critical when you want to show your work, to have something that does not sounds like a crap freeware plug-in. So far, nothing can really emulate the true sound of these vintage gear except sampling them.

The huge amount of gears sampled associated to the powerful features of Sampletank Engines 2.5 is a killer... there is no difference between having the real gears, stacking them together them and adding FX to get a great sound and using Sonik Synth.

This is not the case for other ambient synths that all sounds about the same. They use pure mathematic waveforms stacked together that fills well the sound space but when mixed are giving a messy/unprofessional results...

Samplemoog is also the same thing. No Moog emulation are coming close to the real thing except sampling them. Otherwise the PRO would use emulations instead of spending thousands in Minimoogs. See the value of these gears, it is not dropping on eBay even with the virtual emulation competition. There is a reason. Buy one and see the difference, or just check Samplemoog and compare it with virtual synths...

A good idea, join the group buy and get Sonik synth, then crossgrade to Samplemoog. Bingo you'll get the most fantastic collection of real vintage gear professionally sampled in your computer. An endless creative factory for the years to come...

Just my personal opinion on the matter.

I'm glad to see Sonik Synth 2 getting the spotlight here. Great instrument. 5,000 great patches right out of the box, plus a bunch of very cool Combi's. It'll take you weeks just to audition them all.

But the coolest thing (and the reason I bought it) is that it is (I think) the largest collection of vintage sampled instruments available. Go to the product page and check it out, but if it was hardware back then, it's in SS2.

But wait! That's not all! All the bread 'n' butter stuff is here too! Great B3 emulations, a couple of amazing pianos (check out 'The One'), all kinds of basses, drums, and guitars (a couple of really amazing acoustics in there). Not to mention the aforesaid pads, atmospheres, rhythm loops and elements that can be configured in countless ways--and all automatically synced to your host BPM.

And if you're new to Sampletank technology, the new 2.5 version loads these patches in a flash, allows tweaking in several different synth engines, has 30+ FX that you can EASILY dial in and tweak to your heart's content, and includes a version of the amazing Classik Studio Reverb!

I hate missing out on an Esoundz group buy, but happily, I've had the pleasure of working with these instruments for quite a while now. Highly recommended for musicians of all levels and experience. And the added sound paks are the icing on the cake.

Sure it'd be nice if some of you could see your way clear to using BERFAB as a referral, but I'd still highly recommend this stuff (and Esoundz) even if you didn't. :hihi:

BTW, for the uninitiated, Squids & Co. at Esoundz have a history of really making these group buys fun for all when things get rolling. If history is any guide, those of you that sign up can look forward to an added surprise or two. It doesn't hurt that at this time of year Squids-a Claus likes to come out and play...

Have fun!

Cheers

This sounds like a great opportunity and I'm seriously considering a purchase. One of the main concerns I have before making a music software decision is its stability. How stable is Sonik Synth 2.1 and Sample Tank. How well do they perform? Are there any known problems and do they get quickly addressed?

Both have been stable for me. No crashes.
