Multiple combinations -> Korg Trinity V3

Helping a friend get a sequencing setup together. He so far uses the onboard sequencer of the Trinity V3.
We are shortlisting a sequencer for him, and im trying to get tracktion to work as cubase would, with Patch lists and all... My questions :

1) Is it possible to use multiple combination together when sequencing, in say cubase. Channel 1 assigned to one combination, channel to to another etc... My impression is that one needs to be in the seq. mode of the trininty for mutiple channel sequencing to work, and the seq. mode will only allow access to basic programmes, and no combinations. We would also like to be able to assign certain channels to use combnations, and certain to use basi patches.

2) Does Tracktion support patch lists, so that total control can be obtained from within the DAW ?
