Hi,

are there any news on your drum sampler and sampler products ?
i really really like SR 202 and the DS 404 for their sound and stability
but ... first one has no velocity layering and
second one basic sample mapping / editing is a pain in the a...

(no complain for this price, of course)

and would like to buy more professional versions of these -

I think there is quite room for a mid-priced drum and slicing sampler and especially sampler ( N.I/Steinperch/Emagic - too big, too pricey, too N.I/Steinperch/Emagic; VirtualSampler 2.x - synthedit sound, 3.0 - buggy and overloaded; XS-1 - too bad looking..)

Greetings, Rich

Tachyon was presented to a select group of commercial clients earlier on this month, more news about these joint ventures will be released towards the end of the year. Neutron is derived from Tachyon technology and is still being worked on at this time, most likely release date will be sometime in November. We hope to be releasing the first Tachyon-engine products around the same sort of time too, first of which being Tachyon P (the P stands for "Player" and as its name suggests it is based around playing back multi-sampled patches of various kinds). There'll also be a Tachyon S (Studio edition, a fully featured sampler) and maybe even a Tacyhon F (free edition) if you're lucky

As you can see, we've been busy!

I'd love to show you the Tachyon P GUI - but its still under wraps for now. Same goes for Neutron's more advanced screen displays :D

Tachyon F will probably end up being a multi-timbral player that allows you to load and play Tachyon patches, DS404 patches and SR202 kits. It won't have the comprehensive multi-FX though, or the ability to load in Akai patches etc. like Tachyon P or Tachyon Studio.

Given the sheer amount of awesome DS404 content out there, this will be a pretty popular download I think 8)

.sf2 support please
Not in the free version, in Tachyon P and Tachyon S though we hope to have at least facilities to import the samples, loop information and keymaps from most major formats.

Yup - we've had a replacement engine ready for the Atom/Electron updates for quite some time. It's just a matter now of getting the right balance of features and sound quality, and then getting the GUIs done. I'd love to get these two out this year also...

Cheers
