Just caught up with this beauty.
Spot on composition and mix. Really enjoying the whole thing.
Apart from the stand-out parts already mentioned I'm picking up on the understated acoustic guitar strums....quite class!!

Yeah...everybody compliments Scoops but dare not point out my genius perfected and quite godly acoustic strums. Infidels!!!I'm working on an acoustic version of this for an upcoming show. If i like it enough, i'll post it up.

The vocals are very good, as is the guitar, but what happened to the drums? They don't sound right for this track, IMHO they fail to do the rest justice. The synth-bass also feels out of place. To be dreadfully honest if it wasn't for all the comments I wouldn't have bothered listening past the first ten seconds. But yeah, with some improvements in those areas this would be solid pop gold.

Ok, then I listened to some of your tunes to find out from which musical planet you come from. And discovered that we live probably on different planets.
So I will not worry much, cos for myself I'm happy with the drums and so.

@S.HUSH: I can respect a desire to downplay them in the track, but I would've taken a completely different approach to sustaining such a dreamy soundscape. As it is they just feel metronome-y (uninspired even). It's all a matter of taste, but yeah, with pop music nowadays in mind I would've been far more experimental with both the programming and the samples. Acoustic could definitely be one way to go.

@thomekk: And you shouldn't, it's only an opinion mate! Might have been a bit harsh, but I'm just trying to be honest. You're probably right as to the different planets comment, I'm very fond of strong-presence drums and bass, however I hope you don't always disregard comments by that argument. Anyway, as a composer, if you're happy with them then that's all that matters really.

thanks & Peace Concerning the drums just one more remark: I formyself wanted to have them sounding more monotoneously indeed and not sounding like real drums!! Metronomish but groovish syncing with the rest.
