How does the Novation K-Station compare to the older (but awesome) Nova? I have a K-Station and was wondering if they're based on the same sound engine. Apart from the vocoder, polyphony, extra effects etc. am I missing out on anything else? Or do I need to buy a Nova to get 'that' sound?

I have the Nova and the V Station(software version of K Station) and in my opinion they're not really the same thing. I believe but I'm not sure that the sound engines are related but there are more options on the Nova(more filter types, modulation possibilities etc.) I've programmed both extensively and would say that the one does not neccesarily replicate the other, my personal preference is for the Nova and not I believe becaus it's hardware. The V Station I use heavily as well and esteem highly.By the way I bought a Nove because I liked the V Station so much and they were somewhat related but with extra possibilities. I particularily like the crystalline, glassy sound that the Nova can produce, though I've heard others that do not.
