+1 to CPU bar...I HATE not knowing what my overhead is on any program that's very CPU dependant.

please add an option to select "large size" for connectors in modular wiev!!
a large size option could be usefull even for windows borders (like the browser one) that sometimes it's hard to select with touch pointing systems

usefull for umpc,tablet,touch pc's

currently missing/faulty:

- skinning options for inactive window
- skinnung options for object bars (sequencer, mixer, comps, clip editor)
- options for appearence for mute / solo buttons when active
- skinning for solo button doesn't work (mixer, mixer strip)
- in sequencer, the loop button behaviour is kind of reversed from the skinning point of view: it says "toggle loop on / off", but with loop toggled "on" it doesn't look like "selected", like the mono/solo buttons do. with loop toggled off, it looks like "selected" (I hope you guys understand). it's kind of confusing ...

what makes skinning tricky:

- setup window always on top but you cannot access other windows. you have to close the setup window, eg. maximise the sequencer, and then reopen the setup window again to see what has happened.

- it's sometimes trial and error trying to skin certain item because it can be hard to guess which item in the skin editor relates to which in ext2

- in setup's folder tab, a folder option for skins should be added

- it might be useful to enter a name for a skin in addition to the file name. also, a button next to the "dark", "light" button could be added with the name of the custom skin. you can then easily switch between those. additionally, those buttons might be highlighted to see which skin is used at the moment

about the rescent thing:

i think every top categroy forlder, for example plug ins,
should have a rescent folder on top of its content, with a special folder icon (a watch for example) wuich contains resently used items.

so one can acess rescent plug ins, rescent projects, all in the same way.
and rescent presets, rescent samples, rescent whatever...

ah, and maybe add a general rescent categery, witch mixed rescen content (only usefull when browser itme can be better distinguish, by icons for example)

skins should just have a category in the browser, or in a subcategory system.

also the skinning window should be psoydo modless, and one can click on gui items, wich skinnabla counterparts get selected in the skinning window tehn. but then, skinning is not really imprtant to me.
ohh. wait. it would be usefull, if one can set the size of thing. for example, the boxes wich represent insert FX ir send FX are waaayyy too big.
if this is customizable it is rellay usefull.

I would like a little bar where I could put shortcuts to my (say) 5 most used plugins to quickly drag-n-drop into the sequencer.

i prefer the colour of the level meter in ext2 v2.02 (i mean grey colour) with not dark grid its more stylish or maybe an option to drop off the grid and a colour chooser like the other parts of the gui.Anyway i love ure software big thanks for ure work!

ah and i forgot an option for disable scroll bar like before ll be cool also.
so all other aspects of the skining interface are great:)

I think it would be cool to take modularity to a new level in XT2 and let people build their own XT interfaces via right click loading of XT's interface elements(by having them snap to a pre-defined grid). For example, start out a new project with a blank header and you load up what you want/need from a right click menu. Where you right click determines the locations of the transport buttons, BPM, tabs lay, etc. Even cooler would the option to scale these elements so you could have a large time display if you wanted. Giving an interface lock/unlock option would enable the user to drag elements to new locations and scales.
