Hi

I recently bought a Casio Cz5000 - great fun .Digital but analog sounding
in fact more analog sounding then most analog modeling synths that are out now.

Anyway one problem-it seems to be out of tune.There is a key transpose feature and also a mastertune button.Key Transpose works fine but mastertune is confusing.

When you press Mastertune it tells to push Value Key.There are to 'value keys' in the envelope section under the lcd display but pushing these does not have any effect.

There is nothing in the manual i got with it about this.Anyone know what painfully obvious thing i have missed?

Supposedly you have to use the two buttons marked Value up and down; same as for changing any value:

(picture shows a CZ101, but CZ5000 should be simular)

Maybe you're mot hearing a change since the detune is too subtle. Keep one button pressed for some time while holding one note.

Push the master tune button, then hold both value up and down keys to reset the tuning to A=440...

Really? The CZ-5000 manual I just downloaded explains it clearly enough...

Wtf, Casio uses A = 442 Hz instead of 440 Hz? That's tuned sharp by 8 cents!
Press Down 5 times and it's at about 440Hz like it should.
