Can't get good ol Asynth 1.01 to work in eXT 1.41 (vst or sa). I get an error message:

Exception EExternalException in module Asynth.dll at 0000570A.
External exception C000001D.

I know this is an old synth that may have been abandoned but I still like to use it a lot.. I never use it Oversampled or in Poly mode so I'd also would settle for 1.0.

IF ANY ONE HAS ASYNTH 1.0 PLEASE LET ME KNOW :)..

Thanks a mil..

I've not had any problems with Asynth 1.01 in eXT 1.4, just put together a 5 min track with 4 Asynths and it's working fine (with both seq inserts and in the comp screen). The only problem I've had is the issue with the output in the sequencer - you can't pan as eXT doesn't handle mono output instruments properly.

Where and in conjunction with what are you using Asynth in eXT?

Thanks for asking.. Heres the basic chain..

*1 = same instance

AudioMulch*1 <- eXT*1 <-> Asynth -> eXT*1 -> AudioMulch*1

I know think its something to do with my system as several other VSTi's have started failing.

Again thanks for your feedback. It helped shed some light.

This is why I figured that 1.0 would work instead.. I'm still up for it if anyone has it.

I assume this is the VSTi version of XT you are using, does it work ok in the stand-alone? Have you updated Audiomulch recently?

Can you try the XT VSTi in another host, there are free ones around like VSTHost and Cantabile, also Reaper is non-crippled shareware that you could use for testing.

Thanks for the advice.. I was missing some system files?!? Its fixed now. I'd still like to get my hands on the older version of Asynth though ;)!
