Thanks for the kind words, guys :-)

Compared to GSuite Im finding it a bit harder to get the signal noise under control with a noise gate but I need to tweak the settings a bit more to check..
I assume you're referring to the red channel here. Yes, it is a bit noisier than the jcm900, it also has more gain, though. I'll look into improving it a bit for a future verson, it's always a compromise though and real amps aren't exactly quiet either, so I'll have to see what I can do about it.

cheers,

Niko

Otherwise good sound.
The bass has a strange curve,
better add a HP to taim it.

Good work !

Hi Rene,

How is your amp doing?
Almost ready for release?

Cheers, MrM (You know me, I am the one in your inbox that does not get replies anymore from you :x )

Hey _niko_, great free plugin! Insane amount of gain and definition! Really edgy!
Just a question...
Is this based on a real amp or just your own creation?
In both cases, great work, thank you!

We should make this a guessing game...
See who gets it right.

It's Midiworks' algos or code, repackaged into your offering to as to avoid derision.

Thanks for your comments! Well, it's my own creation and not supposed to be an exact copy of any existing real amp, but of course it has its influences.

That's propably supposed to be funny and just doesn't work for me, maybe a language barrier thing :idiot: :smack: :x

Not meant to be funny. ;)

Midiworks's "Xmas tube" was simply brilliant. I wouldn't be surprised to see a collaboration happen... the code was too good to simply chuck away.

Well, what ever, for the record: Dirthead is solely my own creation and doesn't have anything to do with Rene's work.

I'm impressed. I imported it as a rack insert in Revalver Mk II and wow...with an impulse cab sim and nice reverb it sounds great. With the option to use it both by itself and with the cab disabled in conjunction with something like the freeware Voxengo Boogex (with the drive turned down and a good cabinet preset), I believe this to be one of the best free amp options available.
