Hourray!!!

Start taking bets...
IK Multimedia has one week left to get X-GEAR out on time.
With IKMM's track record, perhaps we should be betting on the spread rather than the game...

Post

yeah, I tried to be pessimistic at first, hoping they would pull an "arc" or "samplemoog" but it was not to be.

Realistically, it looks now like my jan 08 prediction is going to be closer to correct since the holidays and all. Hope I'm wrong.

Post

Well we're not even talking about Metal, which is due by the end of the year.
Where does your prediction put that one?

Half way to METAL! \,,/

But can IKMM get X-GEAR out within the next 72 hours?

Post

Today is the big day! Will IK Multimedia pull it off?

They have 9 hours left in Italy, 10 by Greenwich Mean Time, and 22 hours until International Date Line West. They've already missed their deadline in Australia.

I hope they realize November only has 30 days...

Post

do you really think they will, or just wishful thinking....

I really don't know, but they now have 4 hours left in Italy, 5 by Greenwich Mean Time, and 17 hours until day's end at International Date Line West.

But if it is to happen, it will most likely be within the next 3 hours, which is the close of business hours in Sunrise, Florida, where I suspect their website is maintained.

Post

Well it's after 5:00pm in Sunrise, Florida, and still no X-GEAR.
I Guess IKMM has missed yet another deadline.
The thing that's particularly irritating about this one is many of us have been waiting for this just to be able to use the Amplitube products we already own. I haven't even registered mine because it's useless to me without MIDI control.

Next shot is Monday, December 3rd.
But the website still says:

same position like you. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have used Amplitube on a project.
I too need midi control on it.

Badly

have you seen the weird new website? It only has at2 listed as my authorizations when in fact I have them all.

Maybe this means the software in question is going to be loaded soon?
so what

Under "Authorizations" mine says '2'. That's for how many remaining, not used, right?

I doubt they're going to have new software up anytime soon. The eerie silence from IKMM and the buried links to the announced product(s) usually means they're way behind schedule, as usual.

The X-GEAR page still exists ( http://www.amplitube.com/Main.html?x-gear/index.php ) but they've made it very hard to find.

sooo....
x gear and metal, not in '07?

Is that like an IT department joke?

Is IK getting the poopy bug again?

My recent dealings have been less than pleasant/professional. It's back to like "half sentence"/overly blunt answers again whereas just a couple of months ago it was pleasant friendly stuff (even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear)
so what
