Two DirectWave simple questions (I think)

Hi all -- I must be missing something really simple. Can anyone help?
I'm using DirectWave for General Midi. I've loaded a soundfont with multiple programs into DirectWave. I have Total Recall turned on, and I select all the programs (which, by the way, span five banks). Bank 0 loads fine. (more on the other banks in a sec)
I can tweak some of the programs and save them individually as .dwp files. But it seems I can only load and save programs one at a time. Is there a way to save the whole bank so I can load it all at once?
Also, the soundfont has five banks. But I can only seem to access bank 0. Is there a way to see the other banks? (e.g., bank 128 has the drums, but I can't seem to play these).
I've been using rgc:audio sfz, and that works. But it seems that DirectWave sounds better. Also, I like the idea of being able to apply effects and lfo.
Any ideas anyone? I really appreciate the help.

What version of DirectWave do you use? Normally you should be able to click on the "FILE" button and choose "Save bank as..." to save all programs at once.
As for soundfonts, DW should show a "Select preset(s) to import" window when you load a soundfont with more than one program.

I have version 2.5. I don't see an option to save bank as. Maybe I'm just missing it? I'll double-check when I get home from work.
I do get the dialog to select which presets to import, and I import all of them. But I can't seem to access the sounds other than those in bank 0 from the original soundfont.
Thanks for your response, Reflex.

Maybe the bank option was added after DW 1.25, I don't know. It's definitely in the latest public beta here:

DW will only import one program from soundfonts, the one that you select from the list when importing.

Thanks - I confirmed that the save bank option is not available in 2.5.
I followed the link and I see the beta thread, but no link to download the beta. Is it closed or can you point me to the download link?

Did you register on our forums? If so, you should see the download. Otherwise, you can simply create a login for yourself.

There is still one thing left I have to change before a release, and we're also waiting for a new version of the ChickenSys Translator dll. So I don't know when . I hope early next year (January).hadees wrote:When will the next version of directwave be released I currently have 2.5, I dont really want to install a beta version.
Note that the beta is more stable than version 1.25, but I can understand you don't want to use it unless it's officially released.
