at the price (£26) i'm tempted, just to stash it behind the sofa for those spontaneous jam moments... never been a big acoustic player but certainly prefer the smaller bodied instruments like this (more of a picker than strummer i guess)

open tuners and what not but... £26... :) Can it be *that* bad? (stupid question...)

I'd never buy a guitar I haven't held in my hands first.
But for this price (and decoration purposes) it surely is a no-brainer!

NB: Harley Benton is the house brand of guitars made for Thomann in China. I've heard of good quality electric guitars made in China with retail prices of only two figures.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

Nor would I as a rule but... £26! :D

Just had another look (checking the link worked) and used the 3d zoom thingy: the strings are seriously grody on that example. Not expecting a pro setup or anything but makes you question the base quality.

Go for it, man, and let us know, I might buy a guitar like this for my nephew for Xmas (he breaks everything he touches so a more expensive one is not worth it)

Who knows, you might have a pleasant surprise, otherwise just hang it on the wall for decoration, and scrawl a fake Ben Harper or Jack Johnson autograph on it, your lady friends will visit more often :)

cheap? LOL

last year woolworth had western guitars (sunburst, black, classic)
for only € 19,-

but i was too late, black and sunburst was out, so i skipped on it.
maybe they'll have the same offer like last year.. by next week.

They are indeed ridiculously cheap. I have this http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_ga5h.htm which is just a Valve Junior witha bass cut control, rebranded and £35 cheaper. Spend the difference on mods and you have a cracking little amp. Silly prices really.
