I'm thinking about getting Tascam us-144?
How about Edirol UA-25?
Is there something better(200euro price range)?
Please recommend!

I don't know about the Tascam, but I had a UA20 and was very happy with it. Depending on your needs, however, you might want to look at a Line 6 Toneport UX2, which is what I replaced my UA20 with. Its a clever unit that comes with great software that can really improve the quality of your recording [if you use it to record].

I used to have a Tascam US-122. It worked fine for about 3 years, then started losing contact with the USB port of my laptop on a regular basis, so I ended up replacing it with a Novation X-Station. No complaints about the audio quality of the US-122. I was very happy with it until it stopped working properly. Tascam support was non-exisistent in my experience. I emailed them several times about my problem, but got no reply. You might also check out Novations Xio-Synth as an audio interface ... they go for less than £200 now.

I have used the UA-25 many times and it is a pretty solid peice of kit. Good interface for the money and good sound quality.

Have not used the Tascam, sorry.

I'm currently working with the Tascam US-144. Done over 8 tracks with it so far. I would advise against getting it.

- The headphone output volume is too low.
- Losing all sound at times.
- Starting and stopping audioplayback may cause click's in various apps like Winamp, Mplayer classic, QT. In pro-audio hosts i didn't hear any clicks yet.

I've had issues with it on 2 pc's now. Maybe it works fine for others but my next order for this studio is another audio interface.
