The first ones are related to screen space. If I undock the sequencer and the mixer so I can stack them vertically, there are 250 pixels of stuff before the first track. This reduces the amount of tracks to a handful on a notebook screen.
1. Slim the header part of the main window or make it hideable. There's 3 rows for just a few controls taking 75 vertical pixels.
2. Add options to collapse/minimize/hide different rows in the mixer (hide sends, inserts) and add "mini" mode for the mixer.
3. I'd suggest combining the window frame header (the block with window title, close and max controls) with the menu - these are never very long.
Other stuff:
4. Expand the mixer track color to the whole track/column. This is useful when the headers are out of view.
5. I forgot the rest.

Yeah, badly chosen colours can look cheesy. Well chosen colour coding makes spectacular, intuitive and efficient interfaces.
