Novation Xiosynth complaint

Just got this yesterday. While I really appreciate the fact that it's a mini K-Station+controller plus audio interface in one for quite an amazing price, what is up with those crappy plastic knobs? They come off real easy and that bugs the hell out of me. I almost sent it back because of it. Anybody else miffed about it?

Yup! Brand new from Sweetwater. Pull on the knob a bit and off it comes. It does go back on though, but it's still annoying as hell. I had the exact same problem with a Remote 25 LE I had. It seems they used the same keyboard.

Weird! Mine are pretty firmly set on and I reckon it would take quite a bit of force to remove them (enough force that I'm not going to try, anyway).dj ray wrote:Yup! Brand new from Sweetwater. Maybe it's worth contacting Novation about it, as it might be a batch that wasn't quite up to the mark.

I have the ReMote 25 Le, which is the same hardware minus the audio stuff.
The quality of the keyboard is disapointing. After several weeks of mild use, one key started to get 'sticky'. It feels like there is chewing gum underneath the key.

Yep, the 'regular' Remote series is of much higher quality. I'm surprised more people aren't coming forward with the same complaints.himalaya wrote:I have the ReMote 25 Le, which is the same hardware minus the audio stuff.
