Hi, I need a wave editor that can automatically detect transients in a wave file (with adjustable sensitivity), automatically insert markers, allow editing of the markers and batch save the slices.

Any suggestions?

Adobe Audition can detect transients, mark them and allow batch saving of each slice. Also you could consider trying out Recycle. Seems like the most common app for this use.

Are you sure about Audition? I may try it, if it really has these features.

As for Recycle... I don't intend to slice loops, but rather much longer files, so I'll need to work with more than 16 or 32 markers/slices. I'm not sure if Recycle can handle that?

If you want to just chop up a long sample into separate files, waveknife will do it.

I guess another question is what software do you already have? There may be a way to do it with what you already have. Although those mentioned also work well.

Edison inside of FL Studio will do that.

Or you can buy it separately with the bundle.
