I did a search for a similar topic, and thought I'd use this - we're after slightly different things, though, because I want something which will spread loops over a keyboard, whereas you're just after a single loop player. If you want a program to open REX files outside of a sequencer, your best bet is Recycle. It is the offical program that creates REX files.

If you want to preview and use recycle files in time with a song, one solution is Reason's Dr.REX player.

You can do this in Reason, with a Combinator and a REX Player for each loop. If you save the Combinator, you won't need to set up the mapping every time. As a matter o' fact, I think I'm going to do this my self. :)

I think Kontakt 2/3 may be able to do this as well, though I haven't checked yet.

Can't use Reason in Receptor, unfortunately (man, that'd be awesome), but I've got Kompakt installed, so that's a possibility, cheers :)
