Audio Editor with good feature set?

Something that will cover me for sample editing needs.I've got a lot of audio material that i'd like to edit and process for use in samplers.I also have drum loops i'd like to chop up and edit so a good user interface with good editing tools is a must.I will eventually get Audition so i just need something that will fill the gap until so i'm not wanting to spend a lot

I've downloaded Acoustica but is there anything else worth checking out in a similar price range that you have used yourself(and that supports vst)?

Acoustica is really good. (if you do a lot of audio cleaning / time stretching, i'd also recommend you to give their Premium version a try).
Wavosaur, too (it is donationware).
They both complement each other very well (Wavosaur has batch processing, selection gridlines, vst automation curves, etc, but it's less stable).

Thanks dude.Acoustica looks good but can i set locations for my samples?I can't see any option to add file locations in prefs.Or is that in the pro version?I'll check out Wavosaur as well.
