Wow! It's completely different, and really appealing. Nice work!

Perhaps a bit boring but it's clean and straight to the point....

I like both; but Daniel's vertical-oriented GUIs, like previous version of 2094 or Pocket Limiter has, looks very stylish, I agree.jens wrote: liked the old one much much more tbh...
I want to say thanks to Daniel not only for making his software for free (or, probably in a future, donationware) but also for making software that makes sound with a soul.

I'm honestly more concerned about how the extra features affect the sound than I am the GUI (though my thoughts on that are the old one was flashier the new one is more functional).
But, no one has mentioned that Opto and Limit are now knobs and/or buttons, and we've also got a 2nd release to toy with. Looks cool, but part of me can't help but worry that more knobs makes it easier to screw up the sound (see LA2A for the opposite). I'm sure it will be excellent though.

I too am wary of the added complexity, but we'll see.
I assume you switch on the opto by clicking the middle of the knob?

There are always pros and cons with everything....
In this case I like the sound so much that I WANT that extra control on some
stuff.. Like the 'Opto'. On/off as it was BUT with a chance to finetune the
influence.
and that second release! It is very handy to get a bit extra control over
the release engine...
+ now you see the in/out/gr at the same time.
BUT I agree that the other GUI is more art and this one is a bit SE:ish
but what the heck I got a version before of a compressor with this style of
GUI and I keep getting back to that one when I work so the new style it is.

It's cool Daniel, I ultimately trust your decisions. I do want to play with this bad boy soon though. I'm getting a hankering for a new compressor and that UAD LA2a is priced just low enough to get me to spend money I don't want toddummer wrote:There are always pros and cons with everything....

I am very excited for the release of this. The 2095 is much better than most commercial comps, so thank you for giving these away!!!!!!!!!
The 2094 looks to be amazing, good luck finishing it.
I just wanna slap it on some drums already!

interesting, but "shadows" below smalls/medium fonts blur the text.ddummer wrote:Well I worked on a new GUI last night so this is the current draft:

a question : there is a field displaying the current value
when we rotate a knob (especially for attack or release "ms")?
