ok, so like i said in the topic subject i'm looking for some nice orchestral percussion hits and other ominous perc stuff like gong or others...

free is better... but if you know some very good (and not very expensive) commercial cds, maybe i'll look at it!

G-town isntruments (free) are really good!

They're supposed to be on some free torrents here (giga-format):

There were some exs-versions too, and also for the reason sampler. If you cant download using the torrents, do a google search on g-town instruments.

I've heard the stomps were even used by Danny Elfman on The Hulk's score.

Roland's Orchestral Percussion (sf2midi.com) is a great download - wonderful stuff. Not quite as good as some of the higher-quality orchestral libraries included with Kontakt, but great for free.

wow! i'm playing right now with this G-town instruments library...
it's really great, fantastic! many thanks dr johnny!

thank you metamorphosis too, this roland percussion sf2 is good, and there are lots of others nice soundfonts on this website!

You're very welcome burzum! I was also overwhelmed by the quality that you can get for free with G-town. Very good for cinematic music!

Consider yourself a composer with the same good taste as Danny Elfman.

WOW, I haven't been there in a while myself and was surprised at how many more samples have been added to their freebie list. Too Good!
I'm really surprised that no one has made a comment on these.

any free (and good) orchestral percs and gong samples?
