I loaded the combi "chime to go oh" and the 5th part was missing.
I thought all SS combis would work since we got all the sounds for SS in the group buy. ??
someone please load this combi in SS and see if it's complete so i'll know if it's just something on my end.
edit: another combi, "lightness of spirit," has 2 parts missing. <sigh>
i'm going through the combis to see how they sound. The ones that are complete are really cool, but it's disappointing to find some sounds missing in other combis.

Hmm, Chime to Go Oh
- is ok here too
- the fifth element is "Triangle Element", in I Elements B >> H Perc Elements
- can you load that Sound individually?
And Lightness of Spirit is Ok too
I reckon that the Sounds installation is incomplete for some reason.
Can you check how many original .sth or .stw. or .sti files you have in the SS2 Instruments folders? I've got 2282 here. And 3181 original .stip files
Then check what's on the DVDs.

oi...
darkstar, the combis are loading correctly now. this after following your tip about putting all the sounds in the ST folder (luv that tip btw, it's saving CPU). Dunno if it had anything to do with it, but there it is...
thx for your response fellas! sorry to trouble you
ST, SS and Miroslav (i bought the classik edition) sounds are awesome! i'm so glad I hit on the november GB.

There are a couple of combis though that have missing parts because when I made them they accidentally referenced some sounds outside of SS2 (like sounds from ST2XL). There's only one or two this way... one of them I think was "New World Symphony" or something that was looking for a sound that isn't there. Sorry about that. There ARE a few mistakes in SS2 but considering there are so many thousands of sounds... not too bad!

is it possible for SonicReality to put a list up of those incomplete combis so I can delete them immediately. I am VERY anal retentive and it will upset me no end when I discover them.....I prefer to install delete them and pretend they never existed

zvenx...I could be wrong but if you have the STXL library, the combis aren't actually brokenzvenx wrote:is it possible for SonicReality to put a list up of those incomplete combis so I can delete them immediately. maybe the missing one samples should be a bonus? I know I know I know..I want too much out of life.
By the way.
Mine is in Florida waiting for someone to bring it from my friends' house to me in Jamaica.
But I got my friend to email me the SS2 serial number so I downloaded that an the ST2.5 player.
Question... the ST2.5 comes with some combi..... these combis require what sample pack to be installed so I can play them?

edit: I was getting a msg of missing sounds when loading combis. I then changed "relist on startup" to ON in prefs and all was ok. is it typical to leave this ON cuz it slows the loading?

No, you should not need to leave it on.
Mine is Off, and I "Relist" when I add any new Instruments or rearrange the Instruments into sub-folders
Once you have "relisted" SS2 writesthe file ST2InstrCache.dat and uses that file next time you load SS2.
