I am looking at getting a laptop for playing b4 2 live. I currently have a rack mount pc running nuendo3 with a m audio 2496. I have heard that firewire has an inherent latency of something like 2000 samples which would not work at all for me. Does anyone have any experience with this live or in the studio? Any suggestions for interfaces and drivers. I am looking at a apogee rosetta 800
for both live and studio.
