I have a lot of individual soundfonts that I want to combine into a soundfont bank.
How can I do this?

If you have the sound card from Creative Sound Blaster - so download Vienna:
http://www.soundblaster.com/soundfont/downloads.asp
If you have any other sound card - so download Viena:
http://www.synthfont.com/
Both these SF2 editors allows you to combine standalone SF2 files to one file.
And both editors are free.

Should be possible with AWave Studio by FMJSoft also...
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

Unfortunately Viena doesn't seem to be able to compile a bank from individual soundfonts that I can see.
SF2Patcher I cant figure out.
Awave is a bit pricey for converting 3 banks only.
So I am still trying to find something to compile a sound font bank.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
If it can be done in ESC which I have I can't figure out how.

I agree. I have emailed Wlodzimierz though to find out.Artvera wrote:I think that ESC can't do it. Only if you need one big SF2 file to standalone smaller SF2 files but not conversely. But I can be mistaken ...Goseba wrote:If it can be done in ESC which I have I can't figure out how.

I tried Viena because I no longer have my SB Live installed.
I have heard back from Wlodzimierz and he said he will have a look at a simple option for compiling banks in ESC and later maybe a more detailed version.

Anyway it can be very useful addition in ESC if he can add this possibility.Goseba wrote:I tried Viena because I no longer have my SB Live installed.

It has been already answered here on kvr:Goseba wrote:I have a lot of individual soundfonts that I want to combine into a soundfont bank.

there's a tool(free) named SoundFont Librarian that allows exactly what you're asking for. And it DOESN'T require a creative SBlaster!
