I was just wondering if, given the choice between the two above, what would be recommended?
I figured at first the 141 as my main instrument mic and the 27 as my vocal mic, also giving me the flexibility to record multiple sources at once, but if the quality loss will be too great over recording a single track and overdubbing with the 44, I may go that route.
I need something that can mic everything, as I play all forms of percussion, string, brass, and woodwind.
Thanks for your help.
Shure KSM141 + KSM27 vs Shure KSM44

I have all 3 you mention
I never use the 27 anymore because the 44 is just so awesome!
The 141's are really great for instruments. The 44 does intruments well too.
If I had to make that choice, I'd go with the 44

If you had to compare the 27 vs 44, does the 27 hold a candle?

If you are thinkin of going that route, PM me. I'd be willing to sell my 141 and 27. I also have a 34 if interested.
