Hi, the SampleTank Engine that you get when you register for instance SS2 from the group buy, comes with combis..
What libraries do these combis require to work properly?

If you are talking about the combi's that are included in the Sampletank bonus disc with the last GB (50 or so Combis), I believe that you just need the bonus disc and the other bonus GB sounds (I could be mistaken about this).

The 200+ new Combi's that came with the 2.5 Engine upgrade require the Sampletank XL library. This is what I have, and the Combis draw from those patches.

As I've said elsewhere on this board, the 2.5 Combis are well worth the investment in the full library. They are incredibly inspiring and are like getting a whole new synth.

thanks for the info. It is indeed the combis that as you say use the full library that I am talking about.....
I have already spent too much money with all the great software sales going on this xmas.....

hang on y'all, my understanding is there are 50 combis for SS2 (sounds provided in november GB) and 50 for ST2 (you need all ST sounds, not provided in GB). yes?

Actually, I believe it's 100 each, if I read Squids correctly. But they haven't been finished yet that I know of. When they are done, they are supposed to show up in your Esoundz download section. These are NOT the Combi's that I was referring to above.

Yup. Clear as mud...

I think I was going by the "total of 100 extra combis EACH!" language. This would seem to suggest 200 combis total. But hey, what's a 100 combis between friends?

AND....it suggests that the combi's included will work with the ST2.5 bonus disc....but Squids could clear that up.

I'm unsure but I think that if you get combi's with the free engine, they're probably for the product you bought (in this case, SS2) OR they work with the FREE ST sounds.
