I will come back with my opinions then.
What PC software do you use as a player that supports VST plugins?

Maybe you're on a Mac or something.

I'm on a PC and i use Albumplayer http://www.albumplayer.com/
It supports Winamp dsp plugins and some clever guy made a wrapper that loads vst plugins inside a winamp plugin. http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/146317

So, if your player software supports winamp plugins you can allso use vst plugins.

That's incredibly awesome. Thanks!

I actually use WinAmp, so I'm all set. =)

Thanks elopro for the hint with the eq'ing, but it is only a matter of time to get used to that new clear flat sound. After hearing cd for a couple of houres now (that was a short nightsleep) I could say that it is much more stressless for the ears.

Just to mention another very good audio player: foobar2000 http://www.foobar2000.org/ (http://www.foobar2000.org/) is a ugly, but skinnable player with addable VST bridge. Works just fine with ARC and you can add ASIO support!

Thanks, but after using Albumplayer in about two years now i will never ever switch to another player.
Albumplayer is incredible and it also supports ASIO output if you like.
So to all that read this and want to move the CD collection to the computer, please have a look at Albumplayer http://www.albumplayer.com/
