Hi,

I've been looking for an OSX sampler that doesn't cost me a million Euros and will let me use my own sounds in a non-complicated way. It said in the kvr database that ManyOne, in addition to being a library front end of sort will let me do that??

Couple of questions:

1) Will it let me use single hit samples without the need to save an instrument file first? (aka, browse for a sample, load up and play).

2) Does it do multisampling? (rather more important than #1 as it would be the only thing I can't currently do).

3) Does it let me preview samples?

Thx.

Marco :)

Hi Marco

Sorry for the delay in answering, I missed this post yesterday.
ManyOne will not quite work as you want.
It does not let you browse and load raw samples (wavs). You would need to use our ManyMapper (which comes free with purchase) to map your own samples into the ManyTone/Wusik Format.

Same goes for multi samples.... You can easily create mappings and sets with the ManyMapper and then load them into ManyOne. It is very easy to do this.

ManyOne is sort of in between a full fledged sampler and a rompler. It does however allow you to use your own samples, but you have to map them out first.

Thanks

thanks!

Who knows I may still get it. So far as I can see it's still 1000x better for a sampler than anything in the price range :D

ok ...this is starting to look tempting ... not more than a whim at the moment..

I can't see to find a demo but Many Mapper looks like it does everything I'd want it to do. It does map any combination of samples to the keyboard, including one sample over the whole keyboard yes?

50 bucks ..come on Bonte ... :hihi:

Hi Bonte
Answer is yes it does all you ask. 1 sample over whole keyboard or multisamples with velocity. Or a whole folder of various sounds 1 per key etc etc.

Also DO Not buy it yet ;-)
Even though you say $50.00 ... it is actually on sale right now for $37.95 and I am going to be posting about a huge "NEW" special on it for Xmas any time now.

Hang in there I might have just saved you a few more bucks ;-)

Hi Marco

(Guess I should have mentioned this earlier....sorry)
Even though ManyOne the instrument is Mac and PC, ManyMapper is PC only. But we do have Mac users running it on Mac Virtual PC with success.

So may not be exactly what you need at this point if you don't run virtual PC or have a PC to map on. We are however "experimenting" with a full fledged Mac Mapper ;-)
