Sonic Reality's Studio ProFiles are high end instrument and loop libraries recorded with top musicians with incredible gear in some of the best sounding studios in the world. In this series we also have the only true MULTITRACK REX, Apple Loop and Acidized Waves combined with the multi-track drum kit used in that session mapped in I-Map, GM and V-Drum Maps in various sampler formats like Kontakt 2. Those collections are rather large! We also have stereo gooves from famous drummers who have played with artists like Peter Gabriel, Yes, Genesis, Pat Metheny Group, Prince, P Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Sting, Cameo, Patti Labelle, Lauryn Hill, Barry White, Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Chick Corea, Paul Simon, King Crimson, UK, Cheap Trick, 10,000 Maniacs, Hall & Oats, Tony Levin Band, Blues Brothers, Michael Stern, Spock's Beard, Jonatha Brooke, Kevin Gilbert... and more!

I've created this thread because we're building up a big launch for the web site www.studioprofiles.com Right now it is just a simple page but very soon it will have all kinds of interesting details about Studio ProFile Artists and their sounds plus various style multitrack sessions, stories about recording in the studio, interviews, video, audio and all sorts of interesting stuff related to musicians in the studio. Along with this we are finally releasing the long-awaited Studio ProFile titles first as "downloadable soundz" products on www.esoundz.com and then later as boxed products that will also be available in select stores around the world.

I'll post in this thread the latest update on what has been uploaded to the site for sale in this series. Since there are A LOT of titles being released at the same time (yeah baby!) and we'll be updating this several times a week you will get more frequent news in this thread and the esoundz newsletter will consolidate the latest material only once or twice a month. If you want to be on the pulse of what's fresh then this is the place to check.

Downloadable titles have each element of a style or artist collection broken down by the format of your choice. So if it is grooves you can choose Rex, Apple Loops OR Acidized Wave. If it is a Drum Kit or multisampled instrument you will be able to choose between Kontakt 2 and possibly other sampler formats such as EXS, HALion, SFZ, Structure... It all depends on what is in most demand from esoundz users. We'll be doing a survey soon to find out! (and filling out the survey earns you epointz as well).

So stay tuned. I'll only mention a particular title when it has already been made available for sale. This way if you get excited about my post you can immediately have it in your hands minutes later! How cool is that?

We've got Studio ProFiles titles being released this month. One is called "Drum Masters" and has 5 drummer's stereo loops + kits done in Imap, V-Drum and even GM format. There are also two multitrack collections coming soon called "Classic Rock" and "Rhythm & Soul". They contain several different sessions in one product. For example, Classic Rock has three different "British Rock" sessions (one in the style of Ringo, one in the style of Bonham and another general Britrock mix) and then a general "Classic Rock" session covering general 60's & 70's rock grooves. This title also has 4 drum kits with mic mixing in Kontakt format. "Rhythm & Soul" has recreations of Motown-style grooves complete with the percussion, foot stomps, claps, snaps etc. plus drums with multi mic mixing as well in Kontakt format. These are the only true multi-track Rexes (where the time relationships between the mics are correct) on the planet! [plus you get Apple Loops and Acidized Waves in multitrack as well... plus easy templates for importing into DAWS]

That's just the beginning. Studio ProFiles is a big part of SR in 2008 and we have some interesting products coming out for film scoring as well. All sorts of great stuff on the horizon!

We've done a major update to www.studioprofiles.com You can see studio session pictures and read drummer's bios. Today or tomorrow we're going to release 5 artist titles for download which will be up on the site. Right now you can pick up "Mini ProFiles" for download though but I'd get those quick because some of them are going away forever and being replaced by larger full titles (we'll keep some though so people have a lower cost option for less material).

In addition we have two Multitrack Style Session libraries coming out and some downloadable subsets in the styles of Classic Rock and Soul. More info coming! Plus, check out www.oceanwaydrums.com for the latest videos including one with me explaining I-Map in detail and a little finger drumming tutorial. All will be "officially" announced soon but you get the first head's up on the "Work in Progress" as we're building the site and preparing the launch next month.

Ocean Way Drums Gold and SampleTron are also going on pre-order on www.esoundz.com this week.

Studio ProFiles Artist Grooves are available NOW for download on www.esoundz.com

You can choose a Rex, Apple Loops or Wave version for download (and also upgrade to the disc version which has all three formats plus the drum kit in Kontakt and Reason). Five titles have been released. Danny Gottlieb (Pat Metheny), Steve Gadd (Steely Dan), Ed Greene (Donald Fagen), Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick) and Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson). There are audio demos too!

Specs on how many loops, megabytes etc will be added tomorrow but if you wanted to get it early... they are available!

Not all of the mini profiles are going to be included in Drum Masters Gold Edition but some of them will be.

If you want them on disc you can email allen (at) esoundz (dot) com and ask for a custom disc to be made of any of our downloadable sounds. This is something that will be an automatic choice you can do on your own soon as well.

While some of the Drum Masters series IS released on line, the big one is the Drum Masters Gold Edition which features 8 drummers kits in various formats... more news coming on that. I'll keep you guys posted! I will be posting information about upcoming Studio ProFiles with Billy Cobham and Neil Peart along with pictures, stories etc. That will be on www.studioprofiles.com over the next 2 months and more coming after that.

Temporary glitch it appears...site is back up. They've been doing Studio Profile sessions with Billy Cobham, Terry Bozzio and Ken Scott to name a few. You know the Squids, tentacles in all kinds places

No, it's available in Rex, Apple Loops AND Wave (you get all three). There's a few things on the site that will be fixed the following week but they are mostly display. If you order Jerry you will be able to get all three formats and if you didn't get all three for download in your esoundz member area then Allen would make sure it happens for you with a quick email.

In terms of hiring more people we are actually looking for a new graphics person that can do graphics in the same style as we've done with the product artwork to what we've done on ads and Studio ProFiles covers, RAW, Sonic Refills etc. So someone who does really well with both print and web (and a few web design skills on top are a plus). Job is for South Florida only though. I'm going to be putting out ads for it in about a week. But if you or you know anyone who fits that they can send over a resume', link to work they've done etc. I'm also looking for a general manager whose mind is sharp, REALLY knows their stuff with sound design and has an incredible amount of common sense, good people management and fearless problem solving skills. But, that's a very specific person (kind of a Squids 2 when I am away on trips like this). I've been looking for years to be honest and never found exactly what I need for that role. So that's what we're looking for in new hires at the moment. We'll be posting on Monster or Career Builders etc. soon. I'll repost this as its own thread actually as my minor attempt to see if anyone on KVR wants to give it a shot. Unfortunate thing is that we really are looking for someone local though (or someone who wants to live in Sunny South Florida at least... which is not bad I have to say!!!!).
