MIDI crash when changing presets

With ST2.5 I want to change the presets up and down as decribed in the manual. I changed the preference text file as shown with the MIDI note numbers.

When i press the keys on the keyboard the patch increases and decreases but when I load it ST2 crashes.

I am using Windows XP2, anybody have any ideas?

EDIT: I just noticed this only happens when I use the standalone version. If I load ST2 in Cubase 4 the preset changes load without a crash.

Think I might head to the IK site and see what they say.
