For disclosure my company makes guitar effects pedals commercially. I am interested in making models or work-alike sims of these for free distribution. I am also new to this forum and very overwhelmed by the information available and uncertain of the conventions of asking what I am about to ask. I hope I am not stepping on any toes, ruining the spirit of this forum and community, or committing any other major faux pas.

That said, I am looking for somebody who is interested in working with me on making virtual effects inspired by the actual products we make. The virtual effects would be for free distribution. The goal is to get some of our sound ideas out there for free. Anybody interested in helping?

That's a very cool philosophy for a pedal manufacturer to have.

I'd rather not disclose that much info just yet! If such a project can see the light of day then it will be known.

I just need help from somebody who knows what they are doing, unlike myself. Or maybe a community development is possible? I am still like a baby in this discovering what is possible.

Theres a guy in this forum who just released FreeAmp 3 after a LOT of work....
Check out his thread here in the effects section...
Maybe you could collaborate? I'm sure he will need a rest for a while though..

Perhaps Studio Devil can be a partner? They are planning on releasing effects and their AMP already was a succes.

please get them out yourself, not in partnership with some dev as it would be great to have a new approach, a new sound, NOT that same old tired sound that al sims have now, so please, do not go with another dev with a product already out

I am so hoping your company starts with an E and ends with X. I've sold all my vintage pedals because I can't be bothered with hardware, but I'd shell out money to get emulated versions of some of them.
