Is there anybody having problems with following xoxos' plugins?
(or at least with one of them):
fauna, noisemo, puru, urom
Every time when VST host tries to show their GUI it crashes mostly without any message, only Renoise says something about peeking messages and MiniHost throws "Access violation in module ck_gui_envelope_8.sep" or something like that.
Tried these plugins with following hosts: Reaper, Renoise, OpenMPT and Tobybear MiniHost.
There are no problems with for example isnonu, clap of luxury, cleardrum and eventgen.

xoxos, please help us humble musicians  :help:

if you can copy the error message i will pass it along to ck :)

there is some difficulty with se plugins on multicore processors at present, and i am aware of issues associated with the gui envelope.

however, atm we can't tell if it's an se issue or a ck graphic envelope issue. different issues on different systems.

i understand a fix for the se issue is on the way :)

It's happening even on old Sempron ~1.5 GHz

probably won't help, you could try running the patches in mono mode.. the graphic envelopes aren't polyphonic..

my host doesn't like clap of luxury but has no trouble with the others.. i'll recompile with the new release of synthedit intended to fix these issues.. i doubt there will be a solution before that.

on the bright side, outside of organic physical models where they are necessary, i won't be using graphic subcontrol elements again because of these issues.

Guess we'll have to wait then for SE update :(
But thanks anyway for your help

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I still have the same problem.
When I load one of the following plugins:
Boing2, Fauna, Noisemo, Puru, Urom

It always says like:
Access violation at address 054A5294 in module 'CK_GUI_ENVELOPE_8.SEP'. Read of address E57FA294.
(or CK_GUI_ENVELOPE_16.SEP or CK_GUI_ENVELOPEV2_8.SEP)

and stops. Always dies at an envelope-related module.
I've tested them on FL Studio 8 and Tobybear MiniHost, with 2 PCs (C2D E8500/PentiumD).
Both PCs are running under WinXP SP3.

One and a half years have passed since this thread started, so I hope
the updated CK modules fix the problem... :? um, I know it's just a hope.
But xoxos, could I ask you to try recompiling them, when you have time?

the envelopes used in boing2 are an updated version of the ones used in fauna and the others. try using a wrapper like eXT or chainer, in all likelihood this will fix the error, which is due to the host's handling.

Oh...I see. Thanks for your reply.
However this error happens on both energyXT and chainer(standalone), so I still suspect that there's more than a host's problem. Anyway I guess I must wait another couple of months... :(

"more technically," the memory is produced by some graphics memory handling function which has shown to be, from dozens of reports, dependent on the host, operating system and processor. so if any of those factors change, they may work. don't wait for me to update third party resources.
