From memory, Adobe Audition can.
Some of my music Soundcloud Goseba

sometimes you can use a guitar tuner vst, but if the sample is a chord or some sort of harmony that won't work. but GTune can be useful on some sounds.

thanks, I found those tuners not to be very accurate, detecting cents mainly. But the one in cool edit pro is great

dont know if they work also in the exact need you have, but there should some old appz working on recognizing wav to midi note at least, like Digital Ear, Akoff MusicComposer WavtoMIDI, Intelliscore Ensemble (works also for polyphonic if my memory serves) and TS AudioToMIDI , but i m pretty sure there should be some more around...
dont ask me tho if and how they work, as i never had need to use them so far...
Peace

Do you wanna see some magic ? Then try the tONaRT from "fleabee", the guy that made 'élastiquePro' and VielKlang.
It will tell you the exact key, plus minor or major ! :D

hmm it appears toneart is a SDK more than a program. i guess he is recommending we check out Mixed in Key then?
