Hi guys,
Im slightly confused by the 'expand' function in battery 3 when using it with rex files.
Heres whats im doing:
Okay I have created a drum loop in audio wave format that is two bars long at 140bpm. I import this to recycle do all my slicing so that the tempo and pitch can be changed independantly nicely and I set it to 2 bars long in recycle. I save that out.
Open up my rex file 'hats9.rx2' in battery as shown:
screen1
Once I have my file open the beat length is set to 8%/6 - I really don't get this at all and feel it could be part of the problem - but when I play the loop it is synced up perfectly to my tempo so presume this default setting is correct - I hit expand to split up all the slices as shown:
screen2
I then take the midi file that is created on my desktop and drag it onto the battery midi lane and the midi file is only 1 bar long - therfore the slices are triggered at twice the speed they should be as shown:
screen3
So I how do I control that midi file that is created so that it is the correct length of two bars? Probabbly something obvious like but I have somehow managed to overlook it.
Many thanks!

okay I turned off the sync on battery master tempo and set it to 70bpm - same thing, the midi file is only 1 bar long
Also I would have thought that to be pretty bad if you had to start halfing the tempo just for this function to work properly? Surely its designed to accomodate my situation?
