It's a false positive caused by your trojan catching software. There's nothing but the dll and a read me in the zip and both are absolutely safe. I see people warning about possible trojans when downloading VSTs quite often on this site but I've never (yet!) come across one that was actually dangerous. ;)
NO (!!!), not the files itselves, but the following flashfiles
opened automatically on this site ARE infected with
a trojandownloader "Gida.A":

hey folks,
i have freekin THOUSANDS of VST/VSTi's i've accuumulated over the last decade, including all the ones on the freeware wiki site i'd compiled into a list and others.
some are still zipped in the original files, but i have an assload that are just the .dll's...
alot are REALLY hard to find, and i found surfin' all over the globe, some i begged developers for...
but most i have no idea of whether they are redistributable or not...i never really thought about it, and wasn't very savvy back then..
so....question...
do ya think if i were to list the plugs i DO have it would be worthwhile?
i mean, that way if someone takes issue or knows they aren;t cool to redistribute i can be hipped to it and remoive them from my list..
i'd be willing to host them at my website, too so folks can grab them, orupload them to Tom Gersic's site, or whatever (my site would be easier, i could just dump everything in a folder and take it to my bro's house..he has a cable connection, and mine is dialup which SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCks....
forget downloading shit from this thread in many cases...transfer rates of 5 bytes a second are scary bad, lol..
but, if anyone thinks i should list this stuff, and again, i can;t tell ya what is desirable or not and what is new or old or indifferent, i'd be glad to go thru it...
last count i had over a thousand VSTi's, probably a couple thousand VST's.
i'd hope some of them might be useful, and that their developers would be cool enough to allow us to re-distribute them.
thanks to all ya'll who made this thread happen..
i scored about 18 more pieces for my collection.

i'm not trying to be lame here, but i don;t have the time to research all this shit...

so...yay, or nay??
i await the superior knowledge of my feelow KVR-r's...
i am reasonably sure hosting a couple gigs wouldn;t piss off my webhost too bad..
;)

I've become a collector of sorts and would love to have a peek at this info. I've even started a listing of "losers" so that I don't waste time downing and loading them a second time!

Hey PinkJimiPhoton, that would be a good idea if it is legal/ok with the developers or something.

It was your huge list at Harmony Central that got me into vst synths, before that all I had was cheap hardware synths.

You should make a few posts so that "signature withheld until he makes 5 posts" goes away at the bottom of all your posts.

I'd like to see your loser list Integration, maybe via PM though so as not to insult anyone.

Post

well, hell, Run Beer Run, i guess i'll take that as a yes...
i'll try and leave off the really obvious shit, but once ya get a couple gigs of plugs, shit can get a little wack!!!!
lol

i'm on it...see ya in a week!

screw it, i gotta bump myself once or twice i guess....

i believe i have all kindsa weird software too....but that may be better to leave to another list.
all the dead links on any of the lists i posted in the past, i believe i have the software to.
some , sadly, was lost to cd break down....or more likely windows XP, which just doesn;t like to read some cd's i can open on a win 98 machine (if i had room to set up two, and HADN't thrown out a bunch of stuff i thought was "corrupt"....thanks microsoft!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH) :x

Cool, you have a signature now. People tend to distrust the new people, because they don't know what they're doing, and somehow they've spent $1000 on Steinberg Nuendo and like $300 on Hypersonic2. It's always those two.

Free stuff isn't bad, just edgy. There's no payware-MaschineMusik, my favorite plugs.

LOL...i dunno how "new" i am, i joined KVR under this moniker a couple years ago...am also Pinkster here, cuz sometimes i can;t remember the damn login, lol...

as for nuendo?
no thanks...
i lost my propeller cap back in the 60's, and that shit's learning curve is too damn steep for me.
i figure after doing 8 or 9 albums of stuff with freeware like audacity i don;t have much use for real high end stuff that i need to mess with for a month just to turn on.
LOL.

i made it to # 1 until just recently on two of the hosts i keep music on with stuff i recorded with audacity, so i guess i'm doing something right bro.

i know what ya mean tho...yer always a newbe until ya get accepted.
funny, folks will quote my lists here, but won;t talk to me cuz i'm a "newbe"...ROTFF!!

whatever...it's all good.
i guess i should get to work on that list, huh?
 :help: :-o

good lord, what have i gotten myself into??
LOL...
6.52 gigs of plugs mostly.....
847 VSTi's.....
53 .rar's
861 .zips.....
108 apps....
738 loose .dll's.....
69 folders (including all the vsti's in one of them)
13 blue cat installers alone....
ummmmm.....may take a couple weeks to just sort thru this stuff!!!!!!!!
and i'm on a dialup....so, i figure, the world will be over in 2012 before i get half this shit uploaded...
i realize much doesn;t have to be, but i may have bit off more than i can chew...if there's a good samaritan out there that wants to deal with it, i would gladly send a couple dvd's of data ....
otherwise...i'll check back when i get some stuff listed.
that is a FUCKLOAD of freeware!!!!!!!!

No prob, Bud, ya type better one handed than i do most things with two!

that said, does anyone know of a freeware program i can use to catalog that folder of stuff?
i figure my now slovenly P4 can still probably type faster than me, and i don't think my geekitude is up to actually knowing what to look for...
