Though by no means is this what they're doing on that track (which in my hearing memory sounds like a tremolod delayed vocal with a bandpass filter and a subtle negative feedback flange on it, but I don't have it handy to listen) I recall that Impulse Modeler by Voxengo literally does allow you to control the medium through which the sound moves, and you can set it to "water" or somesuch. Very, very fun to play with.

not being acutely familiar with underwater acoustics i am guessing this is not a convincing solution.. cpu is a bit high, algorithm has limitations (eg. finite reverb effect..) and it's probably way too much to be attempting beyond art at this stage in popular cpu power.. a bit cheesy..

if you have izotope trash there's a preset called something like strange feelings that's always sounded just like the plant vocals to me.

Think I'm going with xoxos.
This thing reminds me of what i uesd for the "flute synth" on 'Thank you, Lord...'.
I was basically singing "doot-dddddooooooo" then fx: pitch up 1 octave (pvtrans)>Camel Crusher>monstachorus>ClassicReverb.
This is waaaaaaay cooler. And I'll use this often.

Hmm. I heard that Zeppelin was using an early version of the Eventide Harmonizer. I believe it was the 910 model. Can anyone confirm? The first units came out in the early to mid 70's... If not then it's probably a Leslie all the way.
Cheers,
Geoff
