Okay so neither one of these are really knock you on your butt great (and the mixes could stand some tweaking, as per usual), but they're better than all of the songs I didn't write, right?

"Always Ever Only Just" - Kind of a synthpoppy piece using my new Minimonsta and Sonic Synth 2. And Jamstix.

"Where the Heck's My Wikipedia Page?" - I still don't have a Wikipedia page. This is how I might have sounded back in 1973 if I were upset about it (and alive) back then and had a Jazz/Funk band. This features Sonic Synth 2 and Minimonsta. And also Jamstix.

On a different note, I got this great book for Christmas called "The Frustrated Songwriter's Handbook" by Karl Coryat and Nick Dobson. In it they lay out a strategy for overcoming creative blocks called the Immersion Music Method. Is anyone familiar with this, has tried it, and has tried being a part of an IMM Lodge? The book is pretty interesting and has a lot of great ideas for song starts.

BTW, your songs download/stream speed seems a bit slow here.

I like Always Ever. The ironic delivery is quite endearing and the words are fun. Not sure if the slightly off vocal timing is a deliberate naive touch though, but it somehow fits the song.

Wiki Page's music is cool - sounds quite Steely Dan (Royal Scam era?) influenced, which is no bad thing.
Never quite sure about this kind of speaking delivery - KVR's answer to Rex Harrison.

Thanks for the feedback! I initially planned a melody for the wikipedia song, but then realized that coming up with a melody would have been a lot of work and probably would have been impossible for me to sing, to boot, so I went with the spoken word approach (I'm going to cover that approach in one of my chapters from my upcoming book "The Lazy Composer's Guide to Mediocre Songs"

).

The core of the IMM is the 20-song game, where you take 12-hours straight to do nothing but write 20 (or as many as you can) completely new and original songs, with a listening party following for everyone who participated. I recommend the book, it's a good, quick read.

I'm with oddbod on the vocal timing comment, but any Dr'X is better than no Dr'X!

Will also try to look into this method. I'm in extreme need of inspiration: thinking of hanging it all up for a while, otherwise. Buurrrrnnnnouuuuttt...

You may not have a Wikipedia page, but the Immersion Composition Society does. Seems appropriate, somehow.

As for the music: entertaining. A shorter version of the Wikipedia page song would have gotten a vote from me in this past month's contest.
