Just to clarify though...my understanding is that StompIO users will get it first and then it will be released to other users as a free download in your IK user area....as always, my disclaimer...I have no first hand knowledge so what I say could be totally off base...beergeek wrote:Yesjoeykusack wrote:Is this the "if you bought at2 you will get the x-gear" deal? All the IKMM stuph is way overpriced IMHO. I guess they subscribe to the "take it or leave it" marketing method! Why am I not suprised that they're double dipping by charging paying customers for the cone that holds the icecream!

A quick note to you guys (asked permission to say this). Stomp IO includes AmpliTube 2, Ampeg and Jimi Hendrix Edition. All for the same price! So if you add up the value of the software that makes this deal pretty damn good!
If you already own AmpliTube 2 you get AmpliTube Metal for free as an addition (otherwise if you don't you can buy it as an extra anyway). You also get X-Gear of course which ties it all in together as one. Noooooooiiiiiiice.
I LOVE X-Gear by the way. I have it and I cannot tell you how cool it is to pull up the different amps and effects all inside one unit. Plus it saves CPU which is really helping me on this album I am working on with Simon Collins right now. I was running so many instances of AmpliTube powered plugs when we did Keep it Dark (if you want to hear it: http://www.keepitdark.net ) Now, I run less which is nice plus there are infinitely more options for combinations. I'm LOVING it and I know a lot of you guys will too.
Also, there are units here in the US already. But there's a lot of pieces to the puzzle (boxes, discs etc.) so when it will be shipping this month I don't know. But pretty soon I think!
It also comes with one of the external expression pedals for free (or at least if you pre-order which you can also do here: www.esoundz.com ). The expression pedals are pretty good! They kind of remind me of the Cry Baby. There are more expensive pedals out there that are even better though (nice to have the option) but they are better and have more throw than a lot of the built-in pedals on other stomp boards.
Anyway, I am busy preparing for NAMM for my own stuff like SampleTron, Studiophonik, Ocean Way Drums, Studio ProFiles etc. I don't have much time to dedicate to this thread like I have in the past. But I wanted to share this info with you at least. Stomp IO and X-Gear is going to be a big step forward (no pun intended).
Happy New Year btw.
