Artillery2
You can map its 'keyboard' to trigger different effects on its audio input including a Looper, Tonal Looper, Step Looper, Reverser, Pitch Shifter, Turntable stop and others. Each can have parameters mapped across keyboard ranges, as well as LFO's and envelopes.

i seriously keep meaning to buy this. I demo'd it ages ago. its quality is pristine, albeit, an fx plug with a learning curve. what kills me, are gas prices, and the fact that its a euro price tag. hopefully sometime this year i will pick this up.damstraversaz wrote:Artillery2 is really the best fx I know. the quality is amazing, and the cpu very very low. funny how you NEVER see this baby in the market place.

An interesting thread,it's certainly pretty comprehensive in covering most of the "must go to" plugs for this genre.
I am aware of,or have used, most of the plugs mentioned, infact it encouraged me to dig up Pseudograins and get my head around it,after having neglected it for so long.
There were a couple of Dover 666 Plugs I'm not aware of and have'nt used mentioned here, specifically S-Kamp and EZ-WARP.I looked on the page with the rest of Dover's stuff but could'nt find either of these,(unless of course he changed the names).Could someone post a working link to either of these plugs,I would be interested in checking them out.
Thanks.

Few of your other links are f**ked too.

it sounds wishy-washy, but I like to have a foot in both camps:
the control philosophy -which *does* allow micro-management of your beats, structures and phrasing to have an "intelligent" continuity as well as to give YOU the ability to assign the chaotic parts where ya *want* the chaotic parts, etc...)
the random/stream of consciousness/non-sequiturian philosophy- which *is* the heart of glitch to me: the element of randomness; that of the unexpected.
and for *my* particular usage...
the challenge is adaptation to those elements of randomness:
It may be a stretch, but I approach it the same way I would jazz-
when you're playing with several players in a combo, ya have a structure of the tune, etc... but no set rules for *exactly* what notes are gonna be played when....
That's how I set up my beats for when I do a tune- I *do* set up the beats prior and I do use a good bit of editing (midi and audio) to get the rough structures for the beats, but I also use plugs like replicant and beatrepeat *in addition* to my pre-programmed stuff...
so- when I hit the play button in Live(my host of choice), I hear what I expected stuff as well as the unexpected stuff. A LOT of my synth parts comes from realtime improv in reaction to the beats (both the programmed elements and especially the NON-programmed elements).
all that build up to say this:
everyone's process' is different- but I've found that by creating the rhythms by hand (using all manner of samples and drumsynths- by manipulation of audio clips and MIDI clips) and *then* applying the autoglitch type plugs (which ALSO must be programmed intelligently or it sounds like pants...) your beats will hopefully sound more organic while still offering the unexpected (...glitches,etc)

yeah. The thread is two years old. Find new links/plugins and post if you like, but I've a hunch you'll probably be a c**t about it nevertheless.hoffy wrote:No they don't.
