The latest version solved that crash! Thanks for that :D!!

The thing with this version is it only plays back the 1st note in a small (1 beat max) loop. Sounds like the 1st note is constantly being triggered.

Also not to be a pain but it is reaching the point of parameter overload. Where a person needs an extra finger or 2 to operate all of the different functions comfortably.. I'm sticking by the notion that adding more and more things is going to make it difficult to use live. I mean I already have scroll down to get to certain parameters (no resizing option??).. Again thats IMO

hmmm... i haven't been able to reproduce any problems with short loops. what settings does this happen with?

i agree that there are getting to be too many parameters for a GUIless plugin. and i have four more that i want to add already, just for the single-pattern version... i guess that means i should implement the GUI.

Heres what happens.

If I record ppq (host 0) I get the quick repetative notes (1 tick)

If I record in sample sync mode I it loops back perfectly but I cant get it to playback with host at all. Should'nt it jump back into sync if I change the sync mode while a loop is playing?

here are my settings..

A GUI would be nice if it gets rid of the need to psyically scroll around to get to needed parameters but I dunno it doesnt seem nessesary unless ofcourse your planning on putting some together for example REC & and MIDI Thru ;) or some other combination? hmmm

Anyway any help is greatly appreciated!

in that case it must be getting some weird timeinfo from the host. is this still energyXT inside AudioMulch? i guess i need to do more testing with that combination.

sample mode is totally different, in that it ignores any timing info (other than tempo) from the host, so it doesn't know where the recorded loop is in relation to the timeline... it plays whenever you tell it to play, even if the host isn't playing. to get it to be in sync, you'd just have to trigger it at the right time.

well, in the GUI, things could be grouped differently, and less important options can be put in a menu. it will make more sense to look at.

What if I had it in sample mode, recorded the loop and then swithched over to sync'd mode would it playback with the host?

it will play, but probably at the wrong time, because it was recorded without any reference to the host timeline. i might be able to improve the behavior when switching between those modes... when in sample mode, i could have it remember the host position when recording was started, in case you switched. i'll try that.

of course, you shouldn't need to use sample mode in this case. i should try to figure out why it's not working the normal way.

Hey IPH just wondering how things were coming along with ML?

i'm not on vacation anymore so it's going slowly, but i have started working on the GUI. i'll at least put up a screenshot soon... after that i'll enable multiple slots and all the features that go along with that. a simple/efficient one-slot version will be available as a separate plugin.

 Sounds really cool can't wait!
PIZ listen I as per our convo before about making a front side GUI or stand alone app for the MIDI files generated by ML I wanted to let you know Im quite serious about doing this. As I've stated before I dont know how to code a VST to do this but I could make a separate app what would display all the MIDI recorded from this plugin and allow a user to drag and drop the loops back into their MIDI tracks (not to supercede MF's ability to play back MIDI just to add flexability to having a MIDI logger). Please let me know if you'd be interested in working with me on it perhaps...

i was trying to reply to this thread and accidentally created a new one. Took some stick for it. Glad I did though. I haven't laughed that much in ages.

Ignore the problems I mention. Buzz was looping one bar that's why I experienced the short record length.

:D

Best accidental thread creation I've seen...
