Do most hosts not have a bypass button for plugins? Maybe I'm just spoiled by cubase, but I thought that would be a standard feature.

That was exactly my assumption and I didn't got any complains from the beta testers. However if this is an important issue for lots of people due to host restrictions or whatsoever I will change that in a later version.briefcasemanx wrote:Do most hosts not have a bypass button for plugins? What I can say is that there is no explicit EQ at all, except the DC filter. But some of the nonlin things affect slightly the freq as well as phase and other things of course. Almost mentioned in the manual. It sounds cool with just the analog button on. It clears up the midrange. I would ask if it's anything more than just an EQ, but I guess he refuses to answer questions???

It is a quite nice plugin with a fancy gui, it can go from subtle to obvious sound manipulation, but i must say it is also quite cpu hungry (in Live5,2 at least).

Excellent. I look forward to your other releases. Any ETA on when the other plugins might be finished?bootsie wrote:That was exactly my assumption and I didn't got any complains from the beta testers. The bandwidth or page view limit for this site has been exceeded and the page cannot be viewed at this time. Once the site is below the limit, it will once again begin serving as normal.
Thanks for the plugin!

Yep, your downloads busted my complete bandwith limitjackson wrote:The bandwidth or page view limit for this site has been exceeded and the page cannot be viewed at this time. Once the site is below the limit, it will once again begin serving as normal.
At the moment, download is possible again ...
For my records: can you specify what exact percentage on which cpu? Btw, disabling the nonlin things saves the most cpu consumption (as mentioned in the manual). It is a quite nice plugin with a fancy gui, it can go from subtle to obvious sound manipulation, but i must say it is also quite cpu hungry (in Live5,2 at least).
Next one is scheduled for end of december.Excellent. I look forward to your other releases. Any ETA on when the other plugins might be finished?

it was using about 33% cpu in Live5.2, on my P4@2.6ghz laptop. Disabling the nonlin things saved half the cpu, but it was still using 15% which is stillquite a lot.bootsie wrote:For my records: can you specify what exact percentage on which cpu? I haven't tested it yet in other hosts (except Ext2beta, which doens't have any cpu use indication). I will in Reaper ,later.

That's WAY too much, Sinkmusic - odd things seem to be going on with your machine - first your problems with loading SC2 patches and now this...

Ok. Something were wrong yesterday. I don't know if it was Live or another vsti, i don't know why i had those cpu peaks. I thought it was denormalization, but today i tried again, and it uses between 6 to 8% cpu which is better
I teszted it also in REaper, which says there is a 512samples latency, and it uses about 6% too.

Correction N°2 :
There actually seem to have a little problem... I spoke too quick :
I had let Live opened, with only Rescue on a track, and when i came back after several minutes away, i noticed that the cpu of Ableton doing nothing with REscue on was 25%.
I bypassed Rescue : it came down to 1%.

That sounds reasonable - we had similar numbers on the older P4s once in the beta test. However, if you send me the Live Version Number and System config (CPU, RAM, board type, OS Version, Soundcard/driver used; just drop me a PM I don't publish that anywhere) I will try to include that config in the test for the next release.sinkmusic wrote:Ok. That latency must be your soundcard or whatever - the plugin itself does not have a 512 sample latency.I teszted it also in REaper, which says there is a 512samples latency, and it uses about 6% too.
