No, actually I read on Funkstorung's website about them working with 'Smartelectronix' on a vst effect awhile ago. Just curious as to how that was going, when we'll get a glimpse of it and whatnot. I'm sure it'll be great publicity as most everyone i know who is deeply (obsessively, even) into funkstorung is also a firm believer in the DSP madness Smartelectronix dabbles in.
Alright, who's working with Funkstorung?

You know, for a long time I thought their discography was limited to their one album and their one collection of remixes, too. Only after checking on discogs and their own site did i discover their best work. post.art is my personal favorite. It's on chocolate industries, and worth the purchase if you can find it anywhere.I godamn love them Funkboys, they dont release enough though

Hiya,
don't really want to say anything yet about the collaboration... it's going to sound too much like vapourware, but, yes, we love the funkie people and, yes, we're gonna release a plugin "with" them.
We had started a previous project w/ Micha and Chris, but we -the smartelectronix people- gave up on that particular project 'cos it was too big
No worries, there's gonna be more news when there's more news!
cheers,

bunker24 = _hardcore_ acid
it doesn't sound like regular funkstörung at all
if you want some good stuff try finding both Chris' and Michael's releases on Music Aus Ström. Those are INCREDIBLY good. Also, their latest work is very nice but much more hip-hop-y, ...

Bram: you're completely right about bunker24 and the MAS releases... As a sidenote the MASK releases (very limited collaborative vinyl releases w/ SKAM records) have featured some great tracks as well. You can hear samples of these tracks on FS's site I think. Glad to hear that the project I lasted talked to Chris De Luca about is still going to happen.
Haven't yet heard the _brand new_ Funkstorung stuff, but when I saw them in Chicago last june they were doing lots of hip hop breaks, and featured some MC's that didn't know when to let them let the beats ride.
Seems like the live shows were always like that though, and my money would bet the actual album will be much less like the live show, and more like 'Vice Versa'.
oh yeah btw Creepjoint: I'm a huge Mouse on Mars fan as well.
