i should know this, but i don't...
say i have a bank open of samples i recorded (in a preset obviously), and now i want to create a brand new preset in that bank and build it up from other samples, either from the same bank or other banks: how? i can't find a "create new preset" command, only new banks...it's probably something easy i overlooked, but i overlooked ....

I don't know where it is in the manual, must be there somewhere. I did not have to search as I created a few hundreds presets in the last month.

i've had X2 for awhile, but i got stuck in the "play the pretty presets" mode for too long...but now i've made some samples from Zoom H2 recordings, and got Synth Swipe working as well...trying to put some drum presets together from my Doepfer rig

I bought it in April or May 2007 and I am still learning it. There are some features like Synth Swipe and Twistaloop that I haven't touch yet! I like it a lot and it's very powerful for designing sample sets. I got some great results (not always but often enough) from its autoloop feature.
Maybe you have seen it before but I released in November an experimental (and free) small bank twisting manually a single loop. It can be downloaded from this page, first item:

i d/l'd that file last night,wasn't able to open it...is it supposed to be a bank file, or samples to import?
tried again..doesn't show up as a bank file, can't import as sample...

I downloaded it to verify. The file to download is Zvon_OLO_EMUX2.rar or use the direct link below:

When extracted, it creates a folder named 'Zvon_OLO_EMUX2'. This folder includes the following:
- a 'One loop only' folder
and 2 text files
- One_Loop_Only_EMUX2.txt
- zvon_license.txt
The single sample and the bank are in the 'One loop only' folder, sample is in the 'SamplePool' folder and the bank is 'Zvon_One Loop Only.exb'.
It should work by opening the bank file in the EMU X2.
Let me know if it works for you now.

i see what's going on... my setup thinks .rar files are for Reaktor, and i'm not sure how to expand it...
