first of all - thanx for your nice comment and i hope your love will be ever lasting
microTERA was a "one shot" marketing thing and to be honest we don't have the capacity to support this free product over a longer time period ( the actual version doesn't work with Logic 7 for example ).
It's also not possible to make it a download because we have special exclusive deals with the magazines...
But regarding the functionality of microTERA it is identical to the ""microTERA" page in TERA 2 and as such we already have a forum for this: the TERA forum ! Therefore you are free to talk about the microTERA functionality in the TERA froum, but please keep in mind that the free microTERA itself is not supported - it will stay as is.

I have Microtera and as pinkjimiphoton has already found out it was never free, it was magazineware and therefore can't be redistributed.Integratron wrote:Does anyone have microTERA from a ways back when it was free and won KVR contest? I'll bet that one sounds sweet!

i am mining over on the plugindex.de at the moment, going thru all the synths there and downloading what i don't already have...up to approximately 1070 vst synths now.
crazy.
and more to go.
plugindex is worth being a member of, you can dl alot of exclusive content free that is REALLY cool..
nice folks there, too, and they have some different things that aren;t here.
worth checking out even if ya can;t speak german.
there' always babblefish...but it;s german to english is like venusian on acid!
question about the virSYN magazineware...is it ABANDONED magazineware?
i couldn;t find a contact link at the site, tho generally right clicking on the index.html of the sight and going thru the meta tags you can find a contact or webmaster or owner...
didn;t have time to look...
or the old standby, webmaster@coolassvst.com or whatever...
or dead links,..(my fav trick) backwards navigation...get a 404?
keep working backwards thru the directory in the URL till ya strike a page that functions...
be surprised what ya may find!!

Abandonware doesn't really exist, at least not from a legal point of view. Just because a program is no longer developed or supported does not change the licensing agreement and Microtera's licensing is very clear (quoted from the installation program):
WARNING: This program is protected by copyright law and international treaties.
Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of this program, or any portion of it, may result in severe civil and criminal penalties, and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under law.

I'm sure I've got a real one from the early 70s in my mom's attic. Have to dig that out next time I go back to the UK.Integratron wrote:Anyone have a copy of Stylophone that works? circa 2002
