Are all AIF/AIFF files Apple loops files?
I know there are files that end with .caf that seem to be loops for sure.
However, in some sample libraries I own, their Apple Loops folders are filled with files containing the .aif extension. So are all AIF and AIFF files Apple Loops?
Sorry if this seems dumb, but as a new Logic user, this seems a bit confusing to me.
THANKS.
Drew

AIF files are just apple's version of wav files (which are uncompressed sound files also found on audio cds).
Like how acid files are just wav files with added metadata (bpm, key, etc), appleloops are just aif files with added metadata...
