Hey all...I have a Waldorf Q. I have noticed that some of the knobs are no longer rendering the right values at time...In other words, I'll turn the knob and the number values will change erratically. Any thoughts as to the issue? Thanks!

This is caused by the pot going bad, I'm afraid. The only solution seems to be replacement. I had the part numbers some years ago, but they seem to have gone the way of all things. Contact waldorf support, perhaps they can give you the part numbers (or even replacement pots).

Sometimes it is possible to get the pots going again by turning them constantly for a minute or two - they are, after all, designed to be self cleaning.
My filter type selection knob stopped working a couple of years ago but amazingly has come back to life in recent times and now workes flawlessly.
The pots are available but I understand changing them is not for the feint hearted.

Hey...thanks, all. I was afraid of that. I have noticed some self correction when I turn them consistently, so hopefully that will help. If not, I'm prepared to ditch it. I'm primarily software at this point - at any rate. With software, I just have the great fortune of arm-wrestling Bill Gates on a continual basis.
