Assigning drum pads to another channel?? Axiom 61

Hi,

I just received my Axiom 61. Normally I don't delve to far into assigning midi control data to anything directly in the keyboard but this time I might have too.

What I want to do is somehow assign the drum pads either to a "zone" or another midi channel so they will act as a independent input in Live, which will allow me to control 2 instruments through the same controller without mixing signals. Can anyone help me out?

In my mind I thought I could just assign the drum pads to output on a different zone (ie. zone 2 set to output on midi channel 2)... BUT ... I can't get them mapped to a zone? How do I do that?? Can it be done?
